Orlando Fave 5: Casual Eats

There are so many hot spots in Orlando to relax and grab a bite for lunch or dinner. Today we decided to share some of our favorite, tried and true places to grab some grub!

Pho 88 • Mills/50 (E Colonial)

  • If you love a good Vietnamese Pho (traditional soup dish served with rice noodles) this is one of our favorite local spots!
  • So many delicious dishes to try but you absolutely can’t go wrong with the soothing broths of #15 (a beef round pho) or for those who prefer chicken, #24. These soups are the perfect combination of hearty and comforting.

Fiddlers Green • Winter Park

  • A great place to check out any day of the week, but especially on weekends to enjoy some live music. Serving up classic Irish pub fare and a great whiskey selection.
  • So many great menu items to choose from, but you can’t go wrong with their Shepherd’s Pie or Irish Stew. Don’t forget to save room for some Bread and Butter Pudding!

Black Bean Deli • Winter Park & Mills/50 (E Colonial)

  • Adorable spot for some tasty cuban bites. (The Mills/50 location is a converted old gas station!)
  • Try their Cuban Sandwich and an Empanada or one of their daily specials (my fave is the Ropa Vieja – served on Tuesdays – a juicy slow cooked shredded beef ).
  • Check out their page for full menu and location details: http://blackbeandeli.com

Stasio’s • Bumby Ave

  • Walking into Stasio’s feels just like walking into your hometown deli. At this family-owned Italian deli, you’re greeted with a smile by the unbelievably friendly and helpful staff. Stasio’s serves up massive sandwiches along with a great selection of meats, prepared foods, pastries and grocery items. Did I mention pastries?! This spot is the perfect place for an espresso and a breakfast sandwich or a casual lunch or early dinner at their counter seating (open from 7a-7p).
  • Feeling hungry? Don’t pass up on The Package (a hot sub with meatballs and spicy Italian sausage). Their tiramisu is one of our favorite desserts but I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them!
  • Check out their Facebook page!

Tin & Taco • Downtown Orlando

  • Looking for unique and tasty tacos? This is the place! From their meatless option to slow roasted pork served as tacos, wraps, bowls, or even in a bag of doritos, Tin & Taco will hit the spot!
  • Try their Tacosaurus (topped with crushed Doritos) or the Notorious P.I.G. (juicy shredded pork smothered in queso and a spicy sauce)
  • Feel free to peruse the menu (and don’t forget to wipe the drool off your face) -> http://www.tinandtaco.com
Al Pastor, Tacosaurus w/chicken, & the Maui
